Emotional Support

Emotional Support

Part of being human is sometimes experiencing emotions which might not make us feel great.  We all go through these times at many different parts of our lives, often with different intensities.  Sometimes what we need is someone to talk these emotions through with; sometimes we need a little more help.

My goal is to help you make sense of these emotions and learn ways to cope so you can get back to smiling again.

Healing From Trauma

Many of us have been through something in our life that might have left a lasting, negative impression.  We struggle to make it through each day and sometimes even sleep gives us no relief.  We might be constantly bombarded with reminders of what happened, have trouble concentrating, experience nightmares, and avoid people and places associated with the event.

I want you to know you are experiencing a normal reaction to a horrible situation.  It may seem like other people have an easier time dealing with "worse" things, and we constantly beat ourselves up over it.

My primary specialty is helping people who have had horrible things happen to them be able to find ways to feel better.  We can't change what happened, but you can start healing and put the trauma back where it belongs.

Other Concerns

Life is pretty messy, but that's what makes it amazing.  However, sometimes the "messy" gets in our way.  Here are some other concerns many people have that I can help with:

  • Anxiety

  • Assertiveness

  • Body Image

  • Career Changes

  • Communication

  • Concentration

  • Depression

  • Disordered Eating

  • Domestic Violence

  • Goal-Setting

  • Grief

  • Relationships

  • Sexual Abuse / Assault

  • School Concerns

  • Sexual Relations

  • Trauma

If for some reason I feel as though I am not the right person to help you, I will put you in contact with someone who can.
